An informative 2D animation showcasing AquaGen’s innovative genomic selection process to breed disease-resistant, fast-growing salmon for sustainable aquaculture.
At our studio, we had the pleasure of collaborating with AquaGen, a leader in the aquaculture breeding industry, to produce an intricate and scientifically accurate 2D animation. AquaGen’s work in genomic selection for breeding Atlantic salmon that are resistant to sea lice and other diseases required a deep understanding of genetics and molecular biology—a challenge we embraced with enthusiasm.
Our extensive knowledge in life sciences, including genetics, biotechnology, and molecular biology, allowed us to speak the same language as the client from day one. This ensured a smooth collaboration where complex ideas didn’t need constant clarification. We understood their goals and proposed scientifically sound visual solutions that conveyed the sophistication of DNA-based selection techniques in a clear and engaging way.
What sets us apart from other animation studios is precisely this expertise. While typical animation teams may struggle to grasp the intricacies of genomic chip technology or selection for disease resistance, we offer solutions that are scientifically accurate, visually compelling, and easy to understand. Our ability to visualize highly complex subjects without sacrificing detail saves our clients time, avoids endless revisions, and results in animations that resonate with both experts and broader audiences.
For AquaGen, we delivered an animation that not only explained the advances in salmon breeding but also showcased the technological evolution of the aquaculture industry. From the earliest selective breeding efforts to the cutting-edge use of genomic data, we translated this rich scientific narrative into a story that both educates and entertains.
